About the Author

Raffaele Galante III is a native of Southern California, raised in the vibrant, working-class port community in Los Angeles, San Pedro. Of Italian and Croatian descent, Raffaele grew up surrounded by a rich mix of language, culture, success and poverty—learning early on, the value of listening, watching, observing both elders, children and nature. His upbringing in churchianity was reverent, limited yet generously inspired community, work ethic and the importance of family. This shaped a foundation to build upon for his life, relationships, values and personal growth. Writing this book is a way to share something he found along the way, through much pain and fortune. A way to connect internally, eternally and for us to explore a divine DNA we all have within us.

DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to my parents, whose love, faith, and sacrifice have shaped the foundation of my life, despite what they may think, it worked.

To my father—my first mentor. A man of few words, Modeling wisdom, charm, and strength. His craftsmanship was unparalleled, with passion and integrity. He built everything for his family, he embraced God.... it was like living with Michelangelo.

To my mother—whose strength, stoic grace, and unwavering faith continue to inspire me. Her love gave our family its heart, and hospitable culture. It was like living with Doris Day and Mother Theresa as she flawlessly did everything for us.

To my sisters—these quiet saints, your lives as devoted mothers, engineers, teachers... have deeply impacted me. Your beauty, strength and commitment to family is refreshing, masterful and what I always inspired to have in my life.

To Dr. Isaac Canales and his wife, Ritha—thank you for your mentorship and love. Dr. Canales, you taught me how to wrestle with God, to seek and embrace the Divine connection as a Father. Though I gave to you, you gave me so much more.

To the friends and families who have believed in me, who encouraged me indirectly or with great intention —you know who you are! I love you.

To my children, they all gave me the greatest gift of fatherhood which is my greatest joy, lesson and inspiration that drives me to help others everyday, so people will assist them when I’m gone.

To all the great authors and souls I read about, met in many books that I hope to meet one day.

And above all, I thank my Lord in heaven Jesus Christ—for every valley, every mountaintop, and the grace that carried me through.
